In the 1920's jazz club we have simple table lights, and lights that can be put along the foot of the stage to light up the dancers and musicians. This will help to create a nice warm approach to the jazz club, but also help to make the lighting darker and more mysterious. It would depict the kind of atmosphere we are going for quite well and would therefore be beneficial to us when there is warm lighting. It also won't overlight the stage and make everything look as if it were a 2-Dimensional setting.
The lighting in the futuristic component is more funky and will involve more colour. The entire setting will be slightly brighter as well as the colours will change from browns and blacks to whites and greys. I think that here we could possibly use more spotlights and make everything brighter. This will help us to make he entire scene more futuristic rather than oldschool and give it an upbeat vibe. We have some interesting table and hanging lights that are spherical.
The lighting in the shipping container is probably the most difficult because the ceiling is quite difficult to handle when it comes to hanging lights. However, we have the possibility of using lighting tubes which can make the entire room a different colour and make this quite funky. We are also going to use a smoke machine to make everything a bit more mysterious and I think we are getting a desk lamp which we can use, which will provide some light. The computers will also give off light.
