Researching Lenses

When creating any type of visual media, lenses play a very important part. There are two different types of lenses, a zoom lens and a macro lens, of which they either can be wide angle or telephoto angle.
Lenses are most likely more important than the camera body itself, as they are the things that give you the ability to decide how much light is allowed in the frame, how close you have to be to the subject in question, how in focus the subject is, and more.

A zoom lens gives you the ability to change the distance between you and the subject manually without having to phsyically move.
A macro lens doesn't give you this opportunity but does improve the video/image quality by a little.

A telephoto lens is a lens that starts its focal lens range from 55mm to however far the calculated optical distance from where the light rays converge to the digital sensor at the focal plane in the camera.

Telephoto lenses are used when it is more desirable to be closer to the subject in question without having to phsyically be closer (as an example, when you don't have the ability to go any closer but have to create visual media that is zoomed in a lot).

I think that it would be most useful to use a telephoto lens for our project, as many of the shots we want to shoot have to be very in close, and the thing with lenses is that at a certain distance to the subject they aren't able to focus properly. Next to this, we may not be able to reach every angle and every crevis as there may be furniture or props in the way. A 100mm lens would do the trick quite nicely.
