We opened up our document titled "Beatophone Draft 1" to continue editing. The goal for today was to get around to at least starting to get to the part where the lip sync kicks in so we will have an idea of what the rest of the video including the lip sync will look like.
There are some of the lip syncs which really don't work that well, as Mike Timson kept resorting to mouthing the lyrics instead of singing them out loud. We kept trying to get him to sing properly so it wouldn't look too weird when we're editing. That's why we went with a close-up of him instead of a wide when he first starts lip syncing, as the "Old Drag" looks best in said shot.
There is a clear distinction between the mad scientist's office and the dancers and musicians. This makes it look a bit more quirky. Thankfully, most of the shots fit together very well in terms of continuity. The only thing that is putting me off a little bit is at 0:29, and then later at 0:36. The dancers walk out of the shot, yet later on they are back in the shot. It is a little strange.
